My question is…Do you offer INR (protime) blood tests?

    • Michael K. Laux M.D. says:

      Good Morning Mr. Lenon,

Yes we can run pt/INR’s. We do draw from the arm as opposed to a finger prick many people may be accustomed, this is for accuracy purposes.
All blood samples are drawn between 7:30 and 10am (M-F) on a walk-in basis.
We do ask you bring a Physician order the first time you come in for an INR, subsequent INR testing for the same patient can be done without an order.
The price is $160 pesos and results are ready for pick up the following morning.

      Hope this helps.

    Hello Dr. Laux,

My sister is Mary Ann Puzz-Hall. She has told me about her visit to see you and your recommendation of Dr. Gann’s book: Diet of Hope.

I live in Trinidad, Colorado and would very much like a copy of the book but am unable to find it available on the internet.

Could you please advise on how I might obtain a copy? Mary Ann said she would also ask and perhaps be able to send me a copy.

Thank you for the work you do and for a reply!

    Tracy Roach

Dr. Laux took care of my son after a minor accident while fishing. My son felt very comfortable during the visit. Dr. Laux provided documentation for us to provide to US insurance company with icd-9 codes. We were very pleased with the care and service provided.

Do you offer MRI scans and how much is the charge?

  5. My husband and I are visiting San Carlos January 13 – 18, 2019.
We would like to set up a business appt. with Dr. Laux and office manager to discuss a nutritional system that is now distributed in Mexico. We have family members and friends that live in the area 6 months out of the year and want to do business in the area. It seems a win win to have a medical professional in the area to take a look at our system and your practice was recommended.

Hi Dr. Laux, my brother is wanting to come and visit us in San Carlos. He is on Humera, for his Rheumatoid arthritis. BC health will only allow him to have one month worth of injections , he takes one per week. Will he be able to get this drug at your pharmacy and does he have to have a prescription, from his doctor or from you. If he can get it there will how much will he have to pay per shot.
All information will be helpfull for them to plan their time away from home.
    Thankyou,

I recently attended an appointment with my Father who needed to come back to to US for treatment. Dr. Mike was asked on several occasions if my dad’s kidney function was good. I witnessed Dr. Mike tell my dad (which I witnessed) that there are no issues with his kidneys.
I delivered my Dad to a US hospital in Lakewood Colorado yesterday where he was quickly admitted to the ICU for kidney failure. Potassium off the charts and it’s a miracle that I was able to get him to care before he had a heart attack.
A simple urine sample or a blood draw would have unveiled this issue. I am an EMT-IV who served in the field for 25 years. I am remarkably disappointed in the care from this facility.
I believe Dr. Mike practices in Mexico to avoid malpractice.
Don’t be afraid to demand more from your providers.
