2026 Open Water Swimming Series / Serial de Nado Aguas Abiertas 2026
El Serial de Nado de Aguas Abiertas de Mi Amigo Fit es una competencia que reúne tres de los cruces de bahía más representativos de San Carlos: Algodones, Miramar y San Carlos. Su objetivo es reconocer el esfuerzo y desempeño de los nadadores recurrentes, otorgando un sistema de puntuación y premiación especial al finalizar la serie de eventos.
The Mi Amigo Fit Open Water Swim Series is a competition that brings together three of San Carlos’ most representative bay crossings in San Carlos: Algodones, Miramar, and San Carlos. Its objective is to recognize the effort and performance of repeat swimmers by awarding a scoring system and special prizes at the end of the series.
Each swimmer will accumulate points based on their performance in each of the crossings. At the end of the series, the top finishers will receive a special trophy and recognition for their consistency and effort.
Events and Dates:
- July 5 – Cruce de Bahía Algodones.
- September 13 – Cruce de Bahía Miramar.
- October 25 – Cruce de Bahía San Carlos.

Cruce de Bahia Algodones, July 5, 2026
On Sunday, July 5, swim 5k, 2k or 1k in beautiful Bahía Algodones in the Cruce de Bahia Algodones Swim Competition. Beginners and kids can swim 300 meters.
With calm waters and unparalleled scenery, this crossing tests your endurance in the heart of the Sea of Cortez.
The registration cost is 620 pesos if you register before June 10, then it’s 700 pesos. More information and register here.
Pick up your race kit on Saturday, July 5 between 3:00pm and 7:00pm at the San Carlos Plaza Hotel.

Even if you are not participating, come out and enjoy the morning races. The race starts at 6:30am at Hotel San Carlos Plaza and ends at the Kite Club.

The Miramar Bay Crossing is the second event of the Open Water Swim Series organized by Mi Amigo Fit. This course traverses the crystal-clear waters of the Sea of Cortez, with a spectacular finish at Miramar Beach.
