Building on the very successful event last Monday, the next in the “Marine Seminar Series” will the seminar “ Boating Essentials / Marlin Spike Seamanship and Safety at Sea for Women”. The presenters will be P. Auren and R. Kuschel.

Yacht Club Educational Series: Water Seminar, March 17, 2015
Carrie Albro is working on her Master’s Degree from the University of Arizona, and her thesis is on San Carlos water.
On Tuesday, March 17 at 7:00pm at the San Carlos Yacht Club, Carrie will talk to us about creative ways to secure and manage water resources in San Carlos.
Topics will include: Rainwater Harvesting; Grey Water Use; Wastewater Re-use; Air-conditioning Condensate Use; Water Metering; and Desalination.
Cost: 50 pesos donation to benefit SBPA.
Fishing Techniques Seminar: Feb 2, 2015

The public is invited to a Fishing Techniques Seminar at the San Carlos Yacht Club on Monday, February 2 at 10:00am.

Hook, Line and Sinker Fishing Seminar
Everyone is invited to attend the fishing seminar on Monday, March 24 at 10:00am at the Yacht Club. The seminar is free and open to everyone.
They will be covering radio discipline, navigation related to fishing, fishing techniques including trolling, jigging, and bottom fishing. They will also cover care, cleaning and storage of fish. And, they will finish up with taking care of your equipment.
There will be free hot dogs with a cash bar for lunch.

Water Seminar at the San Carlos Yacht Club
Allan Sjogren will repeat his informational presentation on the San Carlos water situation (due to the overwhelming response last year).
San Carlos water – – Where does it come from? What quality is it? How much is there?
Al has done several years of investigation into the situation. He has no connection with the water company.
This presentation will be on Tuesday, January 14 at 7:00pm at the San Carlos Yacht Club.
A 50 pesos donation benefits the Castaway Kids program.
Come early for a good seat. The bar will be open.
