Cultural Field trip for Yaqui Lent Celebration, March 20 or 27

Did you know that the Yaqui tribe is the only indigenous group that still maintains its culture as well as its political and social structure? Now you can visit and experience their unique heritage and customs on this day-long Field Trip to Obregon, where you will take part in an unforgettable Yaqui Lent Celebration. English tour led by accredited tour guide Ruth Halffter of Ruthy’s Tours and Ruth & Rudy’s Bakery.

Highlights of the tour include: Visit to Nainari lagoon; Guided tour through Revolution Museum; Explore Plaza Alvaro Obregon, the Cathedral, the Market, and more; Guided tour of the Yaqui Museum; Discover the cultural heritage from the Yaquis and enjoy the Yaqui Lent Celebration. Cost: 1,500 pesos per person (includes all transportation, breakfast, lunch, Entrance fees and English Guides). A portion of the costs will be donated to the Yaqui community for their Easter celebration.
